There are two big traditional holidays in Korea. Chuseok and Lunar New Year's Day are those.
When these holidays come, the war of buying the train ticket for hometowm begin.
If you couldn't aquire the train ticket, you have to bear the traffic or to find another way to go home.
Once you make it to go home, kids are very happy to meet their cousin and to get some money from elders.
Adults are prepare a memorial for ancestors. And after the ceremony we dine together.
These days, there are also many people go travel with their family instead of going hometown. |

ON THE OTHER HAND, IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR PEOPLE TO REMAIN AT HOME, AND CHOOSE NOT TO TRAVEL TO THEIR TOWN OF ORIGIN. THEY PREFER TO SPEND THE HOLIDAYS WITH THEIR LOVED ONES RATHER THAN TRAVEL TO THEIR HOMETOWN. these days, there are also many people go travel with their family instead of going hometown. |
