Team Recreation is the an activity that  in which team members get along doing non-working plays games, such as workshops, watching movies, or drinkings. It is a temporary event and focuses on the entertainment. Throughout the activities, team members can share their thoughts or experiences, and they become friendly.

Team Building is every activity that includes (-S) selecting team members, co-working, making systems (pl) for team cooperations, or assesing the contribution of each member. So, Team Building is a continuous activity and it is more focused on the working and achievements. It is a wider concept.

Team Recreation is a sort of Team Building activity. (sing)

In my personal view, team recreation activities don't seem to be helpful to for the performances directly. But, Team Building is very important for managing the team's chemical structure, and it makes has a large effect on the performance of the organization.
